Apacheria Gravel                            

On Saturday November 16 a big horconesgravel group will ride the first edition of the Apacheria Gravel race in Douglas Az. We hope to see you there so GYGO!! to register visit: https://apacheriagravel.com/

Starting in November, we will only have the private group option for our gravel camps. Group size can range from a minimum of 5 participants to a maximum of 15.

So, gather your group of friends and let's meet to experience a great adventure. 

All of the gravel events have more or less the same itinerary. Of course, there are some small changes like start time, duration of the ride, routes, etc. that we can change if the group decides.

Day 1: Tuesday - Arrival Day

From 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, we meet in Hermosillo city at “Casa Horcones.” Those who arrive before noon can have breakfast or lunch while we wait for the rest. There are great coffee shops, restaurants, and places to visit nearby while we wait. If your flight arrives the day before, we can gladly pick you up at the airport. We can also recommend a few hotels near Casa Horcones. There are many options for where you can stay in Hermosillo.

• 2:00 pm - head out to Los Horcones (there is an option to gravel from Hermosillo to Los Horcones this same day. It depends on whether everybody arrived the day before).

• 3:00 pm - Arrive at Los Horcones, settle in, and prepare bikes. If there is time, we can do a leg-shaker ride on the LH track, a 10-mile loop in Los Horcones.

• 5:00 pm - Happy hour and tour of Los Horcones.

• 7:00 pm - Dinner.

• 8:00 pm - Quick review of tomorrow’s route.

Day 2, Wednesday: Los Horcones Cobachi Out and Back Ride, 40 or 50 mile options.

• 7:30 – 8:30 - Coffee and breakfast available.

• 9:00 am - We roll out.

• 10:30 - 11:00 - We arrive at Cobachi, a small town 19 miles into the ride.

• 12:30 - 1:30 - Arrive at Los Horcones and enjoy a cold one!

• 2:00 pm - Lunch.

• Rest or hang out wherever you like.

• 5:00 pm - 7:00 - Happy hour.

• 7:00 pm - Dinner.

• 8:00 pm - Quick review of tomorrow’s route.

Day 3, Thursday: Long Ride Day - "Los Horcones Suaqui Grande," 75 miles (3 route options depending on temperature and time of year).

• 7:00 – 8:00 - Coffee and breakfast available.

• 8:30 am - We roll out.

• 12:00 - Snack/lunch at "Las Chinches" ranch.

• 12:45 - Continue to Suaqui Grande.

• 3:00 pm - Arrive at Suaqui Grande.

• 4:00 pm - Eat.

• 5:00 - Happy hour while we visit a bacanora viñata.

• 5:30/45 pm - A van will pick us up to return to Los Horcones.

• 6:30 pm - Arrive at Los Horcones by van, shower, and relax.

• 7:30 pm - Dinner.

• 8:30 pm - Quick review of tomorrow’s route.

Day 4, Friday: Los Horcones – Esmeralda Out and Back.

• 7:30 – 8:30 - Coffee and breakfast available.

• 9:00 am - We roll out.

• 10:30 - 11:00 - We arrive at Cobachi, a small town 19 miles into the ride.

• 12:30 - 1:30 - Arrive at Los Horcones and enjoy a cold one!

• 2:00 pm - Lunch.

• Rest or hang out wherever you like.

• 5:00 pm - 8:00 - Palo Blanco Tour and tasting experience.

• 8:00 pm - Dinner and farwell party.

Day 5. Saturday: Return day.

• 8:00 - 12:00 Depending on flights schedule we return to Hermosillo city. Those who depart sunday can visit some nice places such as: Downtown plaza, Cathedral, local breweries, great restaurants and famous tacos stands! We can gladly give you all the details and suggestions.

Extra-curricular activities:

• Massages: 45 minutes, $65 USD.

• Palo Blanco Bacanora Distillery Tour and Tasting Experience: 3-hour event, $120 USD.

• Tour of Los Horcones: Its history, buildings, and organization. No cost.

• Happy hour on the hill with a view: Just the cost of liqueur.
