Los Horcones-Suaqui Grande

Is a wonderful 75-mile ride that is fast and thrilling. The journey starts with 10.5 miles of smooth paved road, followed by 19.5 miles of gravel road, half of which can be a little rough. After that, we have another 8.5 miles of paved road before entering the final 37 miles of exhilarating gravel road. The last 10 miles of the route takes you through a small canyon leading us to Suaqui Grande, a lovely little town founded in 1620 by Belgian Jesuit missionary Martin Burgencio. it has a population of 1,122. Agriculture, cattle and viñatas, small agave spirit distilleries, are the main activities. Here, we can visit some viñatas and enjoy a good meal with some bacanora, the agave spirit of this region.
